What to expect

What to expect during a session

Your first session is about getting to know you — your goals, your challenges, and what brought you in. From there, we’ll start building mental strategies to support your performance and well-being. Sessions are 50 minutes and can include anything from mindset coaching and confidence work to visualization, debriefing recent experiences, or preparing for what's ahead. You’ll leave with practical tools you can apply right away.

In-person & virtual sessions

We offer both in-person sessions at our clinic and secure virtual options for clients across Alberta. Whether you're down the street or hours away, support is within reach.

Direct billing

Many of our psychologists are able to direct bill major insurance providers. If not, sessions are typically covered under extended health benefits and can be reimbursed by your insurer.

Is this only for sports, or can other performers benefit too?

Our services are for anyone who performs under pressure. That includes athletes, performing artists, esports players, healthcare professionals, educators, business leaders, and more.

Do I need to be an elite athlete or professional performer to work with you?

Not at all. We work with high performers at every level, from rising youth athletes to seasoned professionals. If performance matters to you, we’re here to help you level up.

How is sport and performance psychology different from traditional therapy?

Sport and performance psychology focuses on optimizing your mindset for high-stakes settings. While traditional therapy often explores past experiences or mental health concerns, performance work helps you build focus, confidence, and composure so you can show up at your best consistently.

How many sessions will I need?

It depends on your goals. Some clients see results in just a few sessions, while others choose to continue long-term for ongoing growth and performance support. We'll work with you to build a plan that makes sense.

How much do sessions cost?

Rates vary depending on the practitioner and type of service. You can find up-to-date pricing on each provider’s profile.

Are sessions covered under my insurance plan?

Individual sessions are typically covered by insurance like conventional therapy sessions. However, coverage varies by provider and plan. Contact your insurer to confirm your mental health benefits, therapist credentials needed, and any co-pays or deductibles.

Do you work with teams or just individuals?

Both! We offer individual sessions as well as group training for teams, coaching staff, and organizations. If you're not sure which is right for you, reach out and we’ll help you decide.
