Description

Human Resources, the spin-off of Big Mouth, shifts the focus from kids navigating puberty to the creatures who represent our emotions, such as the Hormone Monsters, Anxiety Mosquitoes, and Shame Wizards. The show gives a creative, behind-the-scenes look at how these emotional forces influence people across their entire lives—not just during adolescence. For adults, it can be a powerful tool to reflect on their own mental health, since the characters make abstract feelings like anxiety, depression, love, and grief visible and easier to talk about. By externalizing emotions in this way, Human Resources helps viewers gain perspective, reduce self-judgment, and better understand the many parts of themselves that shape their everyday experiences.

Why we recommend it
"I recommend this show because it makes complex feelings easier to understand and talk about. By seeing emotions acted out as characters, adults can gain new insight into their own mental health, recognize that they’re not alone in their struggles, and even find a bit of humour and compassion in the process. It’s a creative way to learn more about yourself while also being entertained."
